Looking Ahead... To 2006!

The 2006 VolunTourism Forum is not "exactly" around the corner, but beginning in the July issue of The VolunTourist we will initiate discussion on the various VolunTourism models being utilized in the marketplace. This will lead to in-depth discussions as part of our programming for the 2006 VolunTourism Forum.

The big question from our readers is: "How do we incorporate VolunTourism into our existing products and services?"

What we think will prove quite helpful in the development of your own programs is to see what others are doing in this arena - how they have developed the products and services that they offer to their clients. Your peers, in other words, will be showcased through The VolunTourist and at the 2006 VolunTourism Forum.

The VolunTourism models that we will highlight include:

• The Employee VolunTourism Model
• The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) VolunTourism Model
• The Philanthropic VolunTourism Model
• The Partnership VolunTourism Model
• The Social Enterprise VolunTourism Model
• The Familiarization VolunTourism Model
• The Collective Destination VolunTourism Model

Where possible, we will make every effort to identify VolunTourism practitioners that have adopted one of these models in developing the products and services. But, it will also help us TREMENDOUSLY if you assist us in discovering VolunTourism practitioners with which you have come in contact.

Call For Papers

Beginning on July 1st, we will be accepting papers and submissions for programming for the 2006 VolunTourism Forum. If you have suggestions of topics you would like to see covered, you may also submit those.
